media/medium [skype portraits] is a series completed during long distance skype calls. meaghan and selina were living 1,320 km away from each other, seeking ways to maintain their artistic correspondence and communication. 

the project required techniques in traditional oil painting (portraiture), dependant on an internet platform for reference (skype). each portrait was affected by the freezing, pixelated image of the other, prompting conversations about historical and contemporary art practices.
